What an interesting comment. Winston Churchill (if that is the one to whom you refer) was part of a group who came up with the idea in 1946. You really ought to read his speech which followed that meeting.
ReplyDeleteAs for Maggie she could see benefits of being "in" otherwise she would have taken us out. She was a conviction politician who followed instincts and not evidence.
